RDF Shredders for MSW Recycling

MSW recycling using an RDF shredder from Shred-Tech® helps to easily and efficiently produce refuse-derived fuel. Another source of energy besides gas or coal is refuse derived fuel, or RDF. This valuable energy source can be obtained from shredding certain combustible materials, such as paper and plastic. In fact, a wide variety of general waste and municipal solid waste (MSW) can be used to create RDF as long as it meets BTU requirements. These solid waste materials can be converted into RDF, but the materials first need to be shredded down into a more manageable size. Additionally, the combustible materials need to be separated from the non-combustible materials, such as metal and glass, before they’re shredded. The Pronar mobile shredders are the heavy-duty industrial shredder machines that can handle the job effectively. They can prove to be a great benefit for RDF plants that are based on municipal solid, commercial, and industrial waste because they can reduce the size of the waste materials quickly for much more efficient mechanical sorting and separation. Along with easier manual sorting and efficient mechanical sorting, these slow-speed shredders offer many other benefits, including greater volume/size reduction and more energy from handling homogenized material.

RDF Shredder

When it comes to large-scale production of refuse derived fuel, you can’t go wrong with the heavy-duty shredding performance of the Pronar mobile shredder machines that we currently have available. These shredders provide you with greater versatility and performance since they can be transported nearly anywhere on the jobsite via their heavy-duty tread tracks, bringing the industrial shredder right up to the pile of materials for shredding. Any RDF plant that is looking for an increase in mobility, adaptability, and durability will greatly benefit from relying on the high-quality shredding power of these mobile shredders. They are engineered with an emphasis on durable construction, making them tougher and more capable of handling bulky loads of materials throughout the day. Additionally, the slow-speed shredder machines offer customizable programs that allow the operator to configure the shredding system to suit the type of application, guaranteeing maximum shred size.
