ST-35H Shredder

The MDS-4-58 Shred Truck’s destructive capabilities come from its high-quality ST-35H Shredder. This heavy-duty shredder operates with a hydraulic drive and works with two motors and 228 horsepower for optimal power. This tough machine contains a total of 46 knives that are 5/8” thick and more than ready to tear through bulky loads like hot butter. Not only can this shredder handle heaps of confidential documents, but it also has the power to rip through products as well. In addition to cast-in cleaning fingers, the shredder also features a bridgeless vibrating feed hopper. In the event that the shredder doesn’t detect enough pressure, it will start vibrating the upper portion of the hopper to automatically feed itself. These vibrations are contained within that section and do not affect the rest of the shredder or the truck.

Auger Compactor & Auto Unloading

The MDS-4-58 Shred Truck is equipped with an auger compactor as well as an auto unloading system that were engineered by Shred-Tech® experts to provide support for the rest of the shredding process. The auger compactor easily transports the shredded remains of the paper and products into a storage compartment for faster cleanup. In addition, the automatic walking floor unloading system is designed to unload a truckful of shredded remains in under five minutes. This effectively minimizes the amount of time spent at the facility and increases the amount of time workers spend out in the field generating more revenue.

Bin Tunnel

This shred truck features our proprietary and patented Gripper Tipper®—a bin tunnel loading system that makes the shredding process more manageable and efficient. This is a durable system that can easily lift 64- & 86-gallon industry standard containers filled with paper and products and dump them right into the hopper. The Gripper Tipper® can be easily operated from the control panel on the passenger side of the vehicle, while the bin tunnel itself is designed to extend out from the side of the truck without exceeding the vehicle’s height. The tunnel is entirely contained, which helps keep the load protected from the elements. It also eliminates the risk of the bin falling from the lift, effectively increasing the safety factor.

Controls

All of the shredding power of the MDS-4-58 Shred Truck is right at your worker’s fingertips thanks to our easy-to-use and state-of-the-art Plus+1® micro-control system. Designed with advanced intelligence, the panel allows you to control and monitor the system while also providing a job timer, automatic bin counter, advanced diagnostics, and more. Located within easy reach on the passenger side of the vehicle, the control panel offers a convenient hideaway design and even features parallel ignition, which allows you to remotely start the truck from the panel. This feature is unique to Shred-Tech® trucks and eliminates the need for two separate keys to operate the vehicle and shredder. For better monitoring, the system also features two cameras: one above the shredder and one in the payload compartment.

Front Cart Storage

By including the front cart storage option to your truck, you can increase holding space for bins and carts within the vehicle. It gives you more storage for your 64-gallon and 96-gallon industry standard bins as well as any extra file boxes, making the job easier for your operators, especially if they bring their own bins to the job site. The storage room is located on the passenger side of the vehicle for quick access.
